  • ACCC Guidelines for the Collection of Debts pursuant to section 60 of the Trade Practices Act
  • The Federal Privacy Act
  • The Credit Code
  • Each state or territory’s civil proceedings legislation

How Recoveries Corp ensures staff compliance

All staff are responsible for protecting the brand and reputation of Recoveries Corps clients’. The Company ensures its selection procedures identify candidates who have high levels of maturity, responsibility and integrity, along with very good communication skills.

Staff are continually developed through ongoing training, and are regularly checked against a competency rating which includes tests on their knowledge of key legislation. Staff audits are carried out by team leaders and compliance officers and are supplemented by external audits by SAI-Global, Recoveries Corps Quality Assurance consultants.

New legislation

Assisted by Recoveries Corps incorporated legal firm, Mason Black Lawyers (Melbourne and Sydney), Recoveries Corp monitors all legislative changes which could impact on business procedures or client services.

Mason Black Lawyers also issue regular circulars and conduct staff training sessions on all new regulatory requirements.

Recoveries Corp is a member of key professional associations which are concerned with good governance and conduct in the industry.
